On the way to Stonewall Jackson Thursday night JV Volleyball Coach Heidi Maeyer reminded her team that “Monday night was over,” adding that she did not want them to be discouraged.
They followed her advice and won the match. Varsity however did not do as well. Both teams lost their matches Monday at Central also.
Lauren Sharp, Summer Alexander, Robyn Kaye, Janice Wilson, Alice Gentry, and Ashley McNeely played for the J.V. team Thursday evening.
Ashley gave Rapp a secure 3-0 lead. With Summer’s help the team served up another point before a time out was called.
After this Robyn, Lauren and Alice each contributed an additional point. The Panthers were still ahead 7-6. However, moments later the Generals tied the score and a time out was called.
Stonewall pulled ahead 1 1-8, Janice, however, quickly closed in on them at 10-11, after this an ace was hit by Lauren to tie the game.
Ashley put in an additional two points followed by Summer who got two also. This left Rapp with a 15
