Carter White
L. Carter White of Boston, 88 died Dec. 9 at Meadowbrook Nursing Home.
Mr. White was a former school teacher and coach and was retired from his self-emploved refrigeration repair work.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Harry Hartwell White and Marian Turner Carter White of Fork Union and by his brothers. Seldon While and Wade White and one sister, Virginia Baker. He was also preceded in death by his son, Roger S. White, and a grandchild, Debbie White.
He is survived by one brother. Hartwell White of Fork Union and two children. Marian Brown of Reva and Joseph C. White of Stevensburg. five grandchildren and two greatgrandchildren'and many nieces and nephews.
Mr. White was a native of Fluvanna County but had lived at Slate Mills in Rappahannock Count for many years.
Graveside funeral services were held on Tuesday, Dec. 12 at Fork Union Baptist Church cemetery in Fork Union.
The Rev. William Bess officiated.
Clore Funeral Home in Culpeper w as in charge of the arrangements.
Abbie Jenkins
Abbie Gene Jenkins, 58, of Sperry ville died on Dec. 9 at his residence.
He was bom on Sept. 9, 1937, in Sperry ville to the late Aubrey R. and Ellen G. Baker Jenkins.
