Her parents were the late Hubert Henry and Mildred Clatterbuck Berry.
Her husband was the late W.W. Carter.
Survivors include one son, David B. Carter of Boston and one daughter. Judith Carter Hipp of Atlanta. Ga.
Also surviving are three grandchildren, Tamara Leigh Carter. Elizabeth Morgan Hipp and John Austin Hipp.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Gordon Berry and sisters. Bertha B. Rosson and Elizabeth Bern'.
Graveside services were held on Friday, Dec. 22 at Fairview Cemetery with the Rev. John S. Farrar officiating.
Pallbearers were Walton Jamison, Mike Schuyler, Dickie Beard, Billy Green, Bemnie Cropp, Robert Jones, Allan Bowler and M.D. Compton.
Clore Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
