Remembering that this was the same Sen. Robb’s staff, though probably not the same person, which had used illegal telephone taps on Governor Wilder, and being flabbergasted at the bald-faced lie presented as fact, I terminated the conversation. It was especially disappointing as at one time I thought that Sen. Robb was a cut above the issue grade liberal Democrat.
Other recent press reports confirm Florida Gov. Lawton Chiles campaign doing a last minute telephone scare barrage targeting senior citizens with statements contrary to fact. Chiles says he was unaware of this strategy of lies.
I suggest, let’s worry less about the spotted owl; with the unholly alliance between some liberal newspersons and the liberal faction of the Democrat party, TRUTH is a much more endangered specie! My husband and I urge the Rappahannock News not just to print this note, but to read, understand and be guided by it as well.
