In Circuit Court last Monday, Roy Wayne Sisk, 32, of Sperryville was sentenced to five years in the penitentiary on a malicious wounding charge.
Mr. Sisk had pleaded guilty last November to charges of malicious wounding and assault which stemmed from an altercation he had with Ernest Fletcher on the night of December 31, 1994. Mr. Fletcher died last March, but the autopsy did not point to the fight as the cause of ftis death.
Judge Carleton Penn also sentenced Mr. Sisk to 12 months in the jail on 'an assault charge, but that sentence was suspended. He will be on three years of supervised probation
