Kent Reeve spoke in support of Mark 'AVarner, the other major Virginia Democratic candidate for the Senate. He said that Mr. Warner is an exceptional “nuts and bolts” leader, a man with a great capacity to attract voters and donors, possessing an excellent ability to organize the Virginia Democratic Party. Mark Warner, according to Mr. Reeve, set up one of the nation’s most sophisticated voter information systems while he was the Virginia Democratic party chairman.

In other business, Franklin Schmidt, Chairman of the county Democratic committee, welcomed two new members: Lillian Aylor and Angela White. Larry and Joy O’Rourke, heads of the Finance Committee, reported that they hoped to have a Blue grass concert/barbecue fundraiser in the near future, among other events. Joyce Abell, chair of the Communications Committee said she planned to put out the first 1996 Rappahannock County Democratic Committee newsletter around the end of March. Kent Reeve, head of the Computer Committee, said he hopes to shortly complete and enlarged list of people who will get the newsletter.
