• The belief of some folks that; large farmers cannot use their own pri- , vate dumps is misplaced as probably all of them existed before the current regulation and again are grandfathered “• in as legal.
• I believe that the Code of Virginia requires the county to provide adequate trash service. It is highly unlikely that establishing a landfill at the end of the county satisfies this, requirement.
• The issue of discrimination is also a viable one.
• An Environmental Impact Statement on the effect of closing might also be required.
• Arbitrary action by the Board acting contrary to the wishes of its citizens is also actionable.
Many folks I have spoken to have indicated their intention to seek legal help, by means of a class action, if their pleas are ignored. I would hate to have my taxes raised again to pay the fees awarded against the county. * ..
