Bird Mart Scheduled
The Bird Mart at the Annandale Boys and Girls Club Auditorium in Alexandria announces their spring Bird Mart from 10 a.m. until 4 p m. on Sunday, March 24.
The Mart features hundreds of pet and talking birds, dozens of expert pet bird breeders and suppliers including suppliers of feed and equipment for wild bird feeders and bird watchers. Admission is S3 for adults, and $1 for children under 12 and seniors.

Arts, Crafts Show Set
There will be an Arts and Crafts Show and sale at Lord Fairfax Community College from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, March 23. Approximately 100 tables of arts and crafts will be exhibited. Food and a basket raffle will also be part of the show. The event is sponsored by the Future Business Leaders (Phi Beta Lamba) of Lord Fairfax Community College. Admission is free, but a donation of a non-perishable food item for the Lord Fairfax Food Bank will be appreciated.
Workshop Scheduled
A free workshop will be presented in two parts by a parent-professional team, certified by the Parents Educational Advocacy Training Center (PEATC). Information will be provided on the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) Part B, ages 2-21, Virginia’s Special Education Procedures and Regulation, Dispute Resolution and Procedures. Section 504 and ADA. Attendance at both sessions is required.

Youth Day Planned
Hopewell Baptist Church in Sperryville will hold a Youth Day at 3 p.m. on Thursday, March 21. Rev. Jon Heddleston, pastor of Reynolds Memorial Baptist Church in Sperryville will be the guest speaker. 4 Everlasting Joy of Culpeper and Bethel Baptist Youth of Amissville will be singing. All are invited to attend. The pastor of Hopewell is Rev. Henry Towens and Rachel Aylor is the Youth Director.

Dance at Amissville
Amissville Volunteer Fire and Rescue Company will sponsor a dance from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. on Saturday, March 16. The band will be Laredo. You must be at least 21 years of age to enter. ID is required.
