Clarence “BoOsie” William Dodson, 52, of Viewtown, died on Monday, March 11 at Fauquier Hospital.
He was bom July 23, 1943, in Culpeper County to Eugene M. Dodson of Viewtown and the late Dorothy Bawkey Dodson.
Mr. Dodson served in the U.S. Army.
He retired as superintendent in Culpeper County from VDOT after 26 years of service.
Boosie was very involved in the community; he coached in the Rappahannock Little League, was Scout Master in the Boy Scouts and was Pack Leader in the Cub Scouts all for the past 20 years.
He attended Gourdvine Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife of 29 years, Dixie Davis Dodson; two sons, Wayne Davis Dodson and Billy Dodson, both of Viewtown and his father Eugene M. Dodson, also of Viewtown.
He is also survived by two brothers, Gene Dodson and Ronald Dodson, both of Viewtown, and fours sisters, Sherlean Wayland, Joyce Wilson, Gloria Switzer and Janet Hitt, all of Viewtown. J
Mr. Dodson was preceded in death by his mother, Dorothy Bawkey Dodson. <
The family will receive friends from 7-8 p.m. on Wednesday, March 13 at Found and Sons Funeral Home in Culpeper. r
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. at Amissville Baptist Church oq Thursday, March 14 with the Rev: John Miller officiating. «
Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
Pallbearers named are Kinsey Wharton, Ernie Deal, Chris Bowen, Wayne Hitt, Daniel Hitt, Bill Davis, Richie Dodson and Paul, Barrett.
In lieu of flowers, memorial con* tributions may be made in his name to the Amissville Volunteer Fire and Rescue, P.O. Box 147, Amissville^ Va. 22002.
