They act just like big horses says owner, Marilyn Hoffman, of her miniature horses, but are safer and easier to handle.
Mrs. Hoffman’s Hilltop Stud Farm in Woodville breeds, trains, shows and sells miniature horses.
When she sells a horse, especially one traveling internationally, she calls Federal Express to come pick up a shipping crate with a horse inside.
She has picked up “minis,” as they are affectionately called, in her van in New York and, far from objecting to it, they seemed to enjoy it, she said.
Mrs. Hoffman says she cautiously takes her horses out for a drive on the back roads and in the fields around Woodville. She tries to keep traveling on Route 618 to a minimum. Traffic has increased dramatically on the road Since she moved to Woodville four years ago. “The trucks
