Madison County, gave the closing remarks. Anne Mead Faulkner, President of the Rapidan Garden Club, and Agnes Puryear, a member of the Madison Garden Club donated flower arrangements for the stage and the reception tables. Area supermarkets, Super Fresh, Wal-Mart, and Food Lion, donated food items for the reception. Volunteers from each literacy council helped with the reception following the graduation ceremony.
Graduation ceremonies are held at the end of the school year, usually in August, for the people who pass the GED test.
