Friday, Sept. 26, beginning promptly at 7 p.m. and ending by 9:30 p.m., at the Rappahannock High School, there will be an open forum, “Exciting Currents: Exploring the Possibilities for Rappahannock’s Public Schools,” sponsored by Headwaters, the Rappahannock County Public Education Foundation.
Headwaters is a local, independent, nonprofit organization dedicated to building a constructive partnership with the public school system. To paraphrase Headwaters’ mission statement, the foundation invites all Rappahannock’s citizens to help cultivate the local cooperative spirit and resources to become partners in the county’s public education system.
The evening offers an opportunity to learn about the schools and contribute ideas for providing the children the best education possible for an unknown and challenging future. Whether one has children in public, private or home schools, or presently has no school-age children, everyone can contribute to the betterment of Rappahannock’s public schools.
