The meeting of the Board of Supervisors last week went to the dogs — literally.
Several county residents , turned out to protest what they termed nuisance noise from ’ barking dogs in different areas of the county.
Margaret Chadwick, of Huntly, said she has always liked dogs, in fact she has a - dog, but doesn’t appreciate ' being disturbed daily and .. pightly by a neighbor’s dogs, especially when that person doesn’t take the responsibility to keep his animals quiet so as not to disturb everyone else.
She also does not understand why it (barking) doesn’t seem to bother the owner of the . dogs and why that neighbor is the only one who can’t seem to control his dogs.
Mrs. Chadwell told the supervisors that she had never before asked anything of them but she is asking them to enact an ordinance to deal with comLiteracy

The Literacy Volunteers of Rappahannock have resumed adult education classes which are held on Mondays from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Rappahannock County Library in the literacy r room downstairs.
