Please be in prayer for the family and friends of Hubert R. Wood who passed away Thursday, Sept. 4, at the age of 78. Known simply as “Woodie” (or “Honeychile” as my sister and I nicknamed him), he was loved and respected as a person, a carpenter, and a farmer. He will be missed, but not forgotten.
Amissville Volunteer Fire and Rescue Company is sponsoring an Explorer Post for males and females age 14-20. The Explorers will have their first meeting on Wednesday, Sept. 17 at 7 p.m. Parents must attend the first night with anyone under 18 years of age.
