Cards, letters

would help

Sid and Dot Mank, who lived near Washington, Va. for many years — presently living in Charlottesville — are often recalled and sincerely missed here.

They were both willing volunteers in our community in myriad helpful ways.

Sid and Dot both ran the handy Loan Closet — making available at no cost canes, wheelchairs, crutches, etc. for those who needed them — for many years, and on occasional visits here, still checked in on the Loan Closet.

They reluctantly moved to Charlottesville a few years back to be near the hospital and medical facilities there. Even there they both volunteered their services to help in the hospital.

Now Sid is very ill and under Hospice care in Charlottesville home. Calls, cards, letters, telephone calls and visits from friends in Rappahannock would be most welcome. Their address is: 15801 Renovia Drive, Charlottesville, Va. 22902 or phone (804) 984-3005.
