Workshop planned
Laurie Marshall is offering a workshop in “Imaginative Painting” on Saturday, Nov. 15 from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the Public House in Flint Hill. Participants are asked to bring a story or a dream which is important to them. Watercolor and oil paints will be explored, with technical information being given in service of the creation of an unique and meaningful image. The cost is $55 for adults and $35 for students. The Public House will be providing lunch and some materials will also be provided. Call 6753267 to register.
Original works to be presented
Rappahannock High School students will present original works of prose and poetry at their second annual Young Writers’ Coffee House on Friday and Saturday, Nov. 21 and 22 from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. Community members are invited to come and enjoy great food and the wonder of original student writing. Proceeds will benefit the RCHS drama department.

RAAC will present the movie, “Ulee’s Gold” at The Theatre on Gay Street, at 8 p.m., Friday, Nov. 21. Rated R, 111 minutes.

Living with Arthritis workshop will be held on Sunday, Nov. 16 from 1 to 5 p.m. A workshop exploring current treatment choices from a wholistic perspective. This afternoon workshop will be offered by Lanise Waites RNC and will include discussion, self-help techniques and demonstration.Cost is $25 and pre-registration is required.
Yoga will be held at 7 p.m. on Nov. 17. AD(H)D support group will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. on Nov. 18. Carolyn Libby will be the speaker. The cost is $5

Performances scheduled
Workspace for Choreographers will present the LastMinute Wood Company in the premiere performances of two new works by Sally Nash, “20 words for Snow” and “Savory” on Thursday and Friday, Nov. 20 and 21 at 7:30 p.m. The performances will take place at Workspace for Choreographers in Sperryville.
