Rappahannock County Home Demonstration clubs have planned an especially interesting program for their annual Achievement Night which will be held Monday, Nov. 20 at the Amissville Fire Hall. : Democratic incumbent George S. Aldhizer II retained his seat as state Senator from the 20th Senatorial District in Tuesday’s election. He was opposed by V. Stephen Bradshaw of Harrisonburg, an attorney.

Fall seedings of cover, like many other conservation practices carried out by farmers at various other times of the year, not only help protect the land against erosion, but also improve the quality of the rural environment, says H.S.
