• Jim Gannon, of. Castleton, was appointed to fill the position held by Roberta Anderson on the Library Board/ whose term expires next month. John McCarthy was re-appointed to his position on the board.
• In executive session the board discussed then came out and adopted a resolution to move ahead with the purchase of the Armentrout property. The closing took place last week.
The board has not yet stated a purpose for the property which is adjacent to the school property owned by the county. The purchase price was $4,000 per acre for 25 acres and with closing cost the purchase will total about $106,000.
