There are approximately 90 days left until that third week in October. That's just enough time for the women’s organization of Trinity Episcopal Church in Washington, Va.. to complete arrangements for the dried flower sale and house tour that has become a principal event of Rappahannock County's beauteous fall season. This year will be the 42nd year for the seasonal event that attracts people from all over the area to view a selection of gracious country homes, tour the lovely countryside, and purchase the beautiful flower arrangements. Northern Virginia has other fall house tours, but this one uniquely combines estate visits and a flower sale.
To get ready for the event, the Episcopal Church Women (ECW), with help from other parish members, busy themselves throughout the long, hot summer with multiple details. Tour houses have been chosen-. This year’s residences include those of: Richard and Katherine Bull, Eugene and Clarissa Leggett and Charles and Nancy Weitz. Tea at Mrs. Coxe’s Tavern is included in the tour.
