What’s best?

Town’s Wastewater Committee

hits on best solution for system

The town council’s Wastewater Committee has

worked long and hard to determine what would

be the best sewage treatment system available and unanimously supports construction of a $1.48 million system recommended by Resource International, Ltd.

They have diligently spent hours finding out more about sewage treatment than any of them probably ever wanted to know and they have done a good job. They have even taken into account its size and location in order to limit access by developers. For more information on just how the system works see the page A1 story.

The committee deserves kudos all around and the committee and town council deserve the support of the town’s citizens in this matter. They’ve come up with the best solution to a problem that must be fixed.

What to do

Upcoming events entertaining

and fun for the whole family

There are three big events coming up in the next

week involving many residents of the county.

The Flint Hill Volunteer Fire Department will hold its annual carnival and parade, July 22-25. County 4-H’ers will participate in the annual Culpeper-Madison-Rappahannock Farm Show, July 23-27, and a group of kids from the county are putting on a very special show, “Clowns,” which is a musical that also uses sign language to get its message across, July 22, 23 and 25.

All of these are worthwhile events that benefit organizations that deserve and need your support. Make an effort to attend.
