Pot Luck Picnic Meeting at the Rappahannock Park on Friday, Sept. 10, at 6 p.m. The PTO will provide chicken. Please bring a dish to share and your drinks of choice. Another avenue for insuring the safety of all of our children is the new “Guest Sticker Rule” at RCES. When you enter the school for whatever reason, please stop by the office to check in and receive your “Guest Sticker”.
Even though many of us may know you and you may be a frequent visitor to our school, it is important that there be consistency with this policy. If you forget, someone may stop you in the hall and ask you to return to the office. We do not wish to inconvenience anyone, only to provide your child with the safest possible environment for learning, while at the same time preserving a friendly and inviting climate for students, visitors and staff. We ask that all of our volunteers wear the stickers while visiting the building as well. Thank you for your cooperation.
The RCES PTO will be sponsoring four collection efforts again this year. Information on each of them will be sent home with our students. However, if you do not have a child at RCES and would like to support one or all of the programs, please stop by the school office or call Jan Makela, Volunteer Coordinator, art 987-8259 or 937-5718.
