Mrs. Candace Lamma, RCES Guidance Counselor, will be holding a reception for all students new to RCES on Tuesday, Sept. 7. The entire RCPS staff joins her in welcoming all new students and parents to both of our schools.
In the interest of safety, once again, please do not drive or park in the bus lanes at either RCES or RCHS from 7:30-8:45 a.m., and from 2:303:45 p.m. Remember to always drive slowly on school grounds and never, ever pass a school bus when its lights are flashing! Please be aware that children often play near the road while waiting for buses in the morning and when disembarking in the afternoon, and drive with caution.
The first RCHS Cross Country Meet will be on Thursday, Sept. 9, at 5 p.m. at Luray. The next two meets will be at home on Wednesdays, Sept. 15 and 22. Both home meets will be at 5 p.m. Our team appreciates your support, please come out and cheer them on. We are convinced that ours is the most beautiful course, and the most awesome team!
Mrs. Lynne Fournier, Band Director, is starting a Pep Band at RCHS and is going to revive the RCHS Fight Song and Alma Mater from years past. Stay tuned and plan to sing along! Every great school has a great song, and you are about to be reintroduced to ours!
