Historian to speak
'' The Blue Ridge Civil War Round Table will meet Tuesday, May 9 to hear Mac Wyckoff, a~ j “historian on the staff of the Fredericksburg and Spotsylvania j National Battlefield Park, discuss the Battle of Chancellorsville.
The meeting will be held at the Old Sperryville Bookshop, 44 Main Street in Sperryville, at 7:30 p,m. The meeting is free and open to the public. Mr. Wyckoff, who has been a historian and
§uide for the National Park ervice for 20 years, will analyze the decisions and effectiveness of the generals who directed the battle, including Generals Robert £. Lee and Thomas “Stonewall” Jackson on the Confederate side, and General Joseph Hooker on the Union side. For information call the book shop at 987-8444.
