Hurray! Let the sunshine in! I am so glad to see the sun. There are lots of things going on so let’s get started.
The Amissville Volunteer Fire Department’s annual spring auction is Saturday May 6 at 6 p.m. If you have items to donate please bring them to the firehouse or call 937-5125.
Also, on that same day Debbie Zinn and Jake Butler will be at Hackley’s Country Store for a pickin’ party. Bring your lawn chair and your instrument and join in the fun. The 4-H will be having a 50/50 raffle and Hackley’s has the best hand dipped ice cream, so bring your change. The music starts at 4 p.m. and will continue until 8 p.m.
Speaking of Hackley’s, they will now be open on Sunday from 11 a.m. until 6 p. m. starting May 14. Now you can go and get ice cream on a lazy Sunday afternoon.
On Saturday night “Youth Alive” meets at the Old Viewtown Store from 7:30 to 9 p.m.
