USA, with a quality education. Hard working adults in my community provided for my public education. They planned, strategized, funded and created an environment that enabled my fellow students and me to embrace learning. There was no guilt trip for consuming too much of the communities hard earned tax dollars. Our feeble academic achievements were applauded and encouraged.
One of my neighbors indicated that our current situation is the result of forty years of squeezing by. It is not fair to hold this school board accountable for this forty-year-old snowball. They are working to solve the problem that has long been with us. Our school board members need our support and encouragement; they need the opportunity to succeed just like we desire our children to.
Encouragement to pursue excellence, more than anything, enables individuals to excel. Please, lets join together and tackle this public education challenge with positive reinforcement style. Go for it School Board!

Natural beauty
being attacked
Rappahannock County’s natural beauty is again being
attacked. This time it is Communication Towers.
Today, May 2, we found people surveying for these towers on our property on U.S. 211. They were asked to leave and they did.
Our people should know in detail the specifics of this project. In my opinion towers will lower the property values of our land and diminish the natural beauty of our county, which is the reason for our property values and quality of life.
