Treasurer Viguerie presented the Town’s financial report, noting consolidated assets of $457,080.03 up some $3,000 from that reported in May, and Water Works current assets of $9,952.00 compared to the 5/31/00 figure of $7142.04.

Bear paws, meanwhile, are used as an ingredient in Bear Paw Soup, which is considered a delicacy in some restaurants in Asia. A single bowl of the soup can cost hundreds of dollars.
Because of a decline in the Asian black hear population, poachers are now turning to American black bears to continue the trade, officials said.
The Baldwins were among 25 arrested in the undercover sting. The investigation began after hunters reported potential illegal activity to game wardens and park rangers. j
