Photo courtesy of Jean Elizabeth The mural, This is Our World! - 2000 was made by 13 Upper School students at Hearthstone School in Sperryville in , collaboration with artist Laurie Marshall. It is currently on display at the National Geographic building in Washington, D.C. They built the mural from scratch and drew the map of the world onto the surface using a grid. From their research papers in government and geography, they put images of concern on the mural. Hearthstone School is located in Sperryville. It serves children grades nursery through high school.
