Raye Tupper will be the new assistant principal at Rappahannock County Elementary School, the administration announced last week. Mrs. Tupper comes to Rappahannock County from Prince William Middle School in Farmville where she has been assistant principal for two years. Mrs. Tupper grew up in Rappahannock County and taught kindergarten here for one year before she was married. Since then she has taught kindergarten, first grade and Title I reading, mostly in Southside counties. At its regular Executive Committee meeting on June 14, the Rappahannock Association for the Arts and the Community welcomed Cathleen Stephen of Warrenton who will become the organization’s director on July 1. Mrs. Stephen will succeed Kay Robertson of Viewtown, who is resigning effective June 29. Mrs. Robertson has been RAAC’s Director for the past year. Rappahannock County High School, through resident and school support in housing exchange students, hosted five exchange students for the 1989-90 school year. Students came from across the Pacific, from across the Atlantic and from lands below the equator. — COMPILED BY BARBARA C. WAYLAND .
