Congratulations to William Boyd, our own Boston young man who received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology from the University of, Wisconsin, Steven Point, during commencement exercises in May.

Belated wedding anniversary wishes go out to Mr. and Mrs. Sam Lanham, who celebrated 50 years together on June 10.

The N.P.E.A. camp meetings are being held each evening this week at the Massanova campgrounds, Castleton.

Mrs. Alvin Atkins of Sperryville was a Saturday afternoon guest of Mr. and Mrs. Ray Frazier and family on Saturday afternoon. Mrs. Michael Swindler of Culpeper was a guest of her parents for Father’s Day.

“Get Carried Away With Books” is the theme for this Summers Reading Program at the Culpeper County Library, which begins on June 21. Children from our area and of all ages are invited to attend.

Mrs. D.J. Dodson of Salem and her sister, Mrs. K. Pritt were in Luray on Saturday to entertain their father, Rev. Richards at a local restaurant in observance of Father’s Day.

In our “birthday wishes” list this week we’d like to mention Michael Heflin, who celebrates Wednesday, June 21, along with Linda Cubbage on June 21, Cliff Racey will add another year on Friday and Christopher Frazier reaches 15 on Sunday.

While extending wishes, wedding anniversaries will be observed by Tony and Bev Tharp Wednesday, June 21 and Jake and Nancy Robinson look forward to their day on Sunday, June 25.
