His three Larry Keel Experience CD projects to date (“Miles & Miles,” “The Sound, and “the Larry Keel Experience”) capture this young visionary’s pure approach to creating and producing music that offers a true alternative to today’s commercial sound. Keel has been performing professionally since the age of 18 when he became a contracted musician for Disneyland, Tokyo, Japan, playing seven shows a day, six days a week for seven months. Since then he has created, managed and produced many popular bands, joining forces with like minded young Bluegrass fanatics such as Mark Vann (Leftover Salmon) and Danny Knicely (Magraw Gap). Currently he has teamed up with Jason Krekel (Snake Oil Medicine Show) and Will Lee (Magraw Gap) whose purist roots stem from his father Ricky’s career with Bluegrass legend, Ralph Stanley.
