On April 14, 1950, James H. Falls and Myrtle F. Burke were united in marriage. On April 15, 2000 Mr. and Mrs. Falls celebrated their golden anniversary. Many friends and relatives from far and near attended the celebration at the Washington fire hall.
There was live music by the local band, “County Line.” A buffet lunch was served.
The four-tier anniversary cake was cut and served by lifetime friend, Mary Clark of Sperryville. Rev. Paul Hawkins, cousin of Mrs. Falls, from Virginia Beach, gave the blessing.
A toast was proposed by Jeffrey Light of Woodville. The event was photographed by Lyle Alexander of Woodville.
