The Rappahannock County Sheriff’s Office investigation into the vandalism at Montpelier in the F. T. Valley last month is “continuing in a satisfactory and workmanlike manner,” according to Sheriff Larry Sherertz.
While he could not supply specifics, Sherertz noted that while his investigators “were not looking at the barrel of a smoking gun,” they were following up on leads that had come in from the community.
He is also awaiting a report on the evidence taken from the scene that is now in the hands of the Virginia State Police laboratory in Fairfax.
