During July 24-28 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m, there will be an Art Adventure Camp for young people ages 14-18 at Verdun Adventure Bound in Rixeyville.
The campers will be envisioning the future using painting, drama and music. It is for the serious painter, actor, creative writer and musician interested in an intensive creative experience while addressing issues in todays world. A camper may choose to focus on one medium or to participate in more than one art form. The outcome of the week together will be an original performance piece with a mural backdrop and music showcased for the community.
The participants will be looking at the forces of faith and compassion in oneself and around the globe, as well as the forces of fear and anger. Rockclimbing, physical risk-taking and team building exercises will be incorporated with the artistic disciplines.
