1 The Rappahannock Home Demonstration ' Clubs are sponsoring a trip to New York on May 9. Everyone is welcome and you do not have to be a club member to take advantage of this opportunity. Cost of the trip will be $35 plus the cost of your meals and entertainment. Included in the $35 fee is transportation, hotel room and all scheduled tours.
At the meeting of the Rappahannock County School Board held Tuesday night, March 14, Q.D. Casque, Superintendent of Rappahannock and Warren County Schools submitted a letter of resignation to the Board.
The Flint Hill Ladies Auxiliary to the Fire Company served a delightful dinner to the firemen and visitors on Tuesday evening, March 14. Rev. Warren Wilbur acted as toast master and Mrs. Barbara Gentry on behalf of the ladies and H.S. Barksdale speaking for the firemen welcomed the guests and co-workers.
On Monday, Mr. Wingate Burden of Central Intelligence Agency spoke to the seniors at Rappahannock County High School about employment with CIA after graduation. Mr. H.G. Wilbur, President of Monroe Business College in Winchester talked to i juniors and seniors about their plans for the future and what the college has to offer them. !
