Thursday.
Friday will feature the Tractor Driving Contest, Open Pet Show, Cloverbud Pet Show, and Stockman’s Contest and will conclude with the Livestock Sale and Rabbit and Poultry Sale. The Horse Show, Goat Contest, Pretty Animal Contest, Dog Show and a truck and tractor pull will be the Saturday highlights.
We hope that country residents will take the time to visit the fair during the week to see the results of their neighbors’ efforts. Each year, county residents bring home many ribbons from the competition, sometimes the only reward they receive for their efforts.
The livestock exhibitors’ animals are often purchased by local businesses, which provides the youngsters with some reimbursement for the expenses they incurred while raising the animals. We join the 4-H Club members in thanking those businesses and individuals for their generosity and support. • Make plans to attend the Culpeper-MadisonjRappahannock Farm Fair July 24-28 and support the Rappahannock 4-H children and programs.
