Among the possibilities are after school activities including mentoring and tutoring in math and other subjects; poetry readings; development of summer and part-time job opportunities and an entrepreneurial program; workshops and lectures; juvenile justice programs; and, of course, recreational activities and music and dance.
Upcoming Club Getaway events include a luau at Lynn Sullivan’s farm in Gid Brown Hollow on July 30, an “Everybody’s Birthday Bash” at John Kiser’s farm on Pophams Ford Road on Aug. 13, and another dance or two at the Washington Fire Hall.
