Other activities
• Mayor Willis reported that the reservoir site use contract was sent out to Gen. Barry on July 10 for execution, and that the Virginia Outdoors Foundation will review the use of the property, which is under a conservation easement, on Thursday, July 12. He noted that Health Department and Building Office approval would also be required before work commences on the new reservoir.
• The Council discussed Peter Kramer’s expired special use permit and the fact that he had not competed the work required as a condition for permit approval. The Council will request that Mr. Kramer attend the next Council meeting so that they can discuss the issue with him and consider appropriate action.
• The Council received a new zoning ordinance from the Town Planning Commission, and will consider it at a special meeting set for June 24 at 7 p.m.
