see, I am one of a growing number of victims of land applied sewage sludge. My experience with this “soil amendment” began in 1999 when my husband and I lived in Culpeper County.
At that time we were aware of a sludge operation at a farm five miles from us and we, like many others, shrugged it off as not effecting us, personally. We were right about this operation but very wrong about the operation that happehed on the farm next to us.
When sewage sludge was applied there, the odor in the air was unpleasant during the day but literally overwhelming in the cool, misty evenings and mornings.
