An enthusiastic audience gave standing ovations to two talented young musicians at the recent Lions Club annual Christmas party.
Nicole Espinola, pianist and Brienna Moineau, soprano, had been first place winners at last year’s Bland Music Contest and were invited to provide the featured entertainment for the party program.
Miss Moineau was accompanied by her mother, Nancy Hitching on the violin and by Emma Sue Amos at the piano.
The 2002 Bland Contest is scheduled to be held at The Theatre in Washington on Sunday, Feb. 24 at 2 p.m.
