As we could not arrest my problem§ and they were getting worse, my husband decided that we would move. We relocated in June to where we thought it would be a safe and healthy environment. He chose Rappahannock County because of its ban on the use of sewage sludge. My health though did not improve immediately. My weight had dropped to 84 pounds.
My energy was depleted and I again experienced severe symptoms of sweats, chills and nausea. I recorded a temperature over 104 degrees. From my previous many visits to the doctor, he was aware that I had been exposed to sewage sludge.
Through this long ordeal, I was never able to provide information about the pollutants to the medical people although we tried to obtain this information from various county, state and federal agencies. We were not provided answers by any of them which would be helpful in resolving my health problems.
