Panthers on Thursday, two days before, the Rapp JV Team seemed determined not to have a letdown. They came out like gangbusters, taking a 13 to 2 first quarter lead, and letting the JV Cougars know they meant business.
As Coach Gary Settle commented, “We came out aggressive and played hard defense early that set the tone for the game.” The score at halftime was Rapp 26, Manassas Park 8. Unlike the game before, when they blew a 10-point lead against Page, the JV Panthers came out he second half and continued to play hard-nosed basketball. When the game ended, they were on top 51 to 40 and won their opening District contest.
