This is a delightful collection of essays about life in Rappahannock County, ranging over topics from country stores and cemeteries to merkle hunting and rural mailboxes. Its author is the resident sage of Woodville, former presidential candidate and U.S. Senator from Minnesota, one of the best storytellers around.
