£ilie& qftife road We all have heard from time to time of the ‘other’ lilies fame, those aromatic pearly faces hiding from the rain, tiny little ground huggers that pop up in the spring, they’ve adorned old fashioned tussy-mussies, that have hung from dainty rings. But what about the lilies tall, that blaze beside the road? Their brilliant orange beyond the reach of grasses being mowed, Brightly waving their hello, to every passing car, as if their summer duty is, to enchant us from afar. ’ s And congregating in the fall, in their special ‘Lilly code,’ they promise to meet next summer, same place along the road, .
