Hogs, and Samantha Falls placed fourth.
Devin and Carly Day placed third with their Holland Lop rabbits and they both placed first in the costume contest with their rabbits. Kevin Reidel placed second and third in the market goat class.
Anne Ashleigh Lamma, Jesse Palmer, Brooke Thorpe, Brittany Thorpe, Lauren Wheatley, Megan Wheatley, Sarah Wheatley, and Devin and Carly Day weie exhibitors in the Home Economics Department. ,
These youth won several ribbons. Megan Wheatley won Best in Show in photography and Carly Day won Best in Show for her decorated cake.
Adult exhibitor Michael Besecker entered in the Photography Department and won several ribbons.
Overall, the week at the CMR Fair was very enjoyable. There were Civil War reenactments, the Orange County Cloggers, Smokev Bear, free flowers donated by Virginia Cooperative Extension Master Gardeners, a skydiving exhibition, a Mom Calling Contest, Scavenger Hunt, and numerous other fun filled activities.
The Culpeper, Madison, Rappahannock Farm Fair deeply appreciates the support of the community for this yearly event and the coverage of the Rappahannock News. Rappahannock County 4-H youth are already working on the CMR Farm Fair 2003.
