The Inn now owns Mrs. Coxe’s Tavern, which includes the former lighting store. The Inn also owns the Post Office and County Cafe building.

This concentration of buildings is in an area of Tbwn designated for Village Mixed Use, so the part of Tbwn where businesses should be located. The Tbwn ordinance allows a maximum retail space in Village Mixed Use of 1,000 square feet per building. Anything over that amount requires a special use permit.

The Inn came before Council in June requesting 1,850 of retail space in Mrs.Coxe’s Tavern and 1,950 square feet of space for offices and storage in this same building. The previous Council refused this request as it greatly exceeded the amount of allowable retail
