The undefeated Rappahannock girls varsity volleyball team is closer to its dream of becoming state champion after winning the quarter-finals Tuesday night against Middlesex County at a packed home game.
The Lady Panthers team is now on its way to the semi-final match at Broadway High School on Friday, Feb. 28 at 4 p.m.
The Lady Panthers had a touch first match against the Middlesex team but won 15-10.
The second match was not as tight with Rachel Sharp’s serves and Anna Kreyling setting, Ryisha Cook's saves, Brittany Thornhill's blocking and Danielle Hiserman making some great calls on balls.
With Lara Kreyling's kills and Ashleigh Burke's dives, the Lady Panthers set the pace and won by a score of 15-8.
