The Clore English Funeral Home provided a time of service, reflections and prayer in their chapel on Feb. 21 to honor the seven astronauts of the shuttle Columbia tragedy.

Mr. and Mrs. Franklin Hitt of “Cypress Knole” along with Mrs. Lacy Fincham and Mrs. Doris Compton and son Roy were all in attendance at Culpeper Regional Hospital in January when Mr. Hitt’s mother, Mrs Mary Anna Hitt of Woodville, was named “Employee of the Season for Winter”
Mrs Hitt has been with the housekeeping staff at the hospital for the past eight years and her receiving this honor was a complete surprise to her. She loves her work there and the hospital is truly grateful for her services. We offer her our congratulations and rest assured she will keep up her good work.
