Bank Road, as proposed bv the Rappahannock National Bank s consultant, Greenway Engineering, will soon become a reality despite a preponderance of negative public comment made at Tuesday night s Planning Commission hearing.
Though many of those who spoke joined Sheriff Larry Sherertz in assailing the road design for the potential danger due to its intersection with Schoolhouse Road, a 4-2 vote in favor of the plan ends any effective opposition.
The Sheriff was the first to speak after Planning Commission Chairman Tbm Junk called for comment from those opposed to the road plan. No one answered the call to speak in its support.
The Sheriff introduced his comments by noting that he doesn't "like taking a position for or against" but is providing his perspective as "your law enforcement official."
