Eileen Mitchell (Day) at age 17
In 1968 the family moved to her farm near Sperryville. Though ending in divorce in 1971, her marriage to Walter Day produced nine children. In 1976 she married David Marshall Dwyer. Their marriage ended in friendship in 1983.
During her career she served as a director and president of the Piedmont Board of Realtors and as a director of the Virginia Association of Realtors.
She was also a director of the Greater Piedmont Area Association of Realtors and spent slk years on the Rappahannock Association for Arts and Community (RAAC) Board of Directors.
Eileen Day, Realtors was the primary sponsor of the Fodderstack Races for a number of years and she continued to serve as a tnember of the Recreational Authority, until her death.
In recent years she was a volunteer with the Free Clinic and served on Hearthstone School’s Advisory Board.
