There is definitely no precedent for this,” said Virginia Point-to-Point Association spokesman Will O’Keefe. “I remember one year where we had to push back the first two race meets, but never the first three.”
Point-to-point races are hosted by area foxhunts as fundraisers for their clubs; the series, which numbers 12 meets, has formed a cohesive season with divisions for lady riders, owner-riders, novice riders and more.
